First of all, thanks for playing my game, I appreciate it.
- About the health system, melees kill you from 1 hit, ranged from 3. I added it to balance the game letting you tank some ranged hits before dying.
- You mentioned that the game is frenetic, that was my intention. Maybe you didn't see it but it says "fast-paced" in the description. I took Katana ZERO as inspiration and if you look it up you'll see it is frenetic too.
- Finally, not showing the range of the turrets is on purpose. I'm not sure what kind of games you usually play but I don't know any where you can see it. I understand the frustration of getting killed by it, but in these kind of games the player learns by making mistakes until passing the level.
