Don’t worry about it, you’re entitled to your opinion. I’m sorry you don’t like the art, but I think you are largely in the minority in that, at least for Hex, and I also just personally disagree. I really like the art style, even though I do think it clashes with the original art in SS.

As far as changing artists, it’s not gonna happen for Hex. Even if I agreed with you, and I don’t, we are well-passed the point of no return. Thousands of dollars and hundreds of man-hours have already gone into the artwork in that game. The game is new, but it was realistically too late to change the art long before I released the alpha. That’s just to illustrate the reality of developing a game like this, with this much art. If I really felt the art wasn’t good or didn’t work, I would still change it. But fortunately, I really like the art, and have been blown away by the character designs and CGs so far.

As for SS, so far most people have liked the new art there too, but a few people are a little less enthusiastic, but it seems likely that won’t change either, just based on the overall opinions right now.

There’s no accounting for taste, and I’m sorry you don’t like the new direction of the art. I appreciate your honesty and I know it comes from a place of trying to help make the games better, so it’s more than welcome. I hope maybe the artwork will grow on you over time, but if not, the old art in SS isn’t going away.

thank you for your reply, the curent hex art is not a dealbreaker. its just not the style i like, dont get me wrong, the art is not really bad. I would at least like to give you a suggestion which could still kinda fix that. The point that i wanted to make is that the characters kinda feel out of place(especially the face), i mean like everything is shaded, but the face not. Could you guys try to add some shading to the faces?
