Grandpa’s Clock: This track has a magical quality that almost sounds like Christmas morning to me. The underlying tonic drone helps tie everything together in a very consonant sound. I like that you put the clock ticking on the offbeats to add a little more energy to the piece. That modulation was unexpected, but came at a perfect time when I was just wondering what was going to happen next.
Nightmare Tick Tock: The major scale turned to a minor scale! The airy pad you use is really creepy and is really great for this track to convey the fear sense. The heavy kick drum almost sounds like footprints to me which adds to the whole nightmare atmosphere. These are two related but opposite tracks that complement each other well and use many techniques that keep this haunted clock house feeling cohesive in both day and night themes.
