I've listened to this album 4 times now and I do wonder whether I'm slowly going insane. But this might be one of the most original things this jam has produced. I'm not usually a "labels" guy, but I'm curious: do you consider your work avant garde? This would have flown under the radar for me but compositionally it really is something unusual and special, and I hope you're able to capture that uniqueness and infuse it into future work.

I feel I try to produce avant garde work, but with this one I feel as though I took inspiration from existing things I've heard and tried to infuse their essence into each song. As an example I wanted the song "Water" to have the same feel as "Dire Dire Docks" from Mario 64 without being a direct copy, and the song "Work" is inspired by Jazz. I will say for "Flappy File" I was just doing what I thought sounded good. I had an idea which I used in "Flappy File" and "Water", and it was the idea of using diminished chords to represent boredom, I don't know why I though this, but this could be a reason why this album has a unique sound compared to others from this jam, so thank you for the high praise, I hope I didn't ruin this album for you by explaining that I wouldn't consider it avant garde, and if I did I'm sorry. Hope you're having a good day!
