Your comment wasn't rude and harsh, it's great constructive criticism. Thank you for the tips and suggestions! Also random note: The dog/sock character is actually what I think the some of the small enemies in the game would look like.

Thank you for your kind words and criticism! The guitar thing with Life Attacks is noted and I'll work on making that track better. I don't think there's much I can do for my jam submission currently, but when the jam is over I can fix up the stuff that needs to be fixed and release and even better version. So, thank you for the tip too! :D
I was thinking maybe doing some sort of song cover in the soundtrack, like a cover of "Imagine" by John Lennon or something, I'm just wondering if doing something like that would be allowed, if not, I understand why, it's a lack of creativity in a jam meant to push creativity to it's limits. Thanks!
I feel I try to produce avant garde work, but with this one I feel as though I took inspiration from existing things I've heard and tried to infuse their essence into each song. As an example I wanted the song "Water" to have the same feel as "Dire Dire Docks" from Mario 64 without being a direct copy, and the song "Work" is inspired by Jazz. I will say for "Flappy File" I was just doing what I thought sounded good. I had an idea which I used in "Flappy File" and "Water", and it was the idea of using diminished chords to represent boredom, I don't know why I though this, but this could be a reason why this album has a unique sound compared to others from this jam, so thank you for the high praise, I hope I didn't ruin this album for you by explaining that I wouldn't consider it avant garde, and if I did I'm sorry. Hope you're having a good day!
This is so good! I like how whimsical Clockwork Factory is, I feel like you just pulled that from some sort of Nostalgic video game like Super Mario 64 or Sim Theme Park. The Passage of Time sounds nicely moody, something in me makes me feel like this would be put in Super Mario Galaxy, just because it's very ambient, but present at the same time, it's melancholy yet happy. I wonder if I'm being a bit biased, but this is great. Keep of the good work and I hope you win!
