Game Title/URL: https://porterweston.itch.io/palinova-prototype

Pitch/Information: Palinova is a metroidvania with a twist, you can only upgrade your player with resources you find in a 'run' after you die. This is a very rough prototype of this concept.

I'd like feedback on: I would mainly love feedback on how the player looks in terms of color palette and animation, and on the color palette/look of the game in general so far (outside of UI, most or all of the UI is currently a placeholder). I would also appreciate feedback on the gameplay loop, and if you found it fun/boring and why.

I need help on: I had problems with the player being jittery when moving around. I used Unity to make the game, and I used rigidbody velocity to move the player and I moved the camera by setting it's transform position. I read online something about how it causes problems when using physics to move units and using a frame-based method to move the camera, but I don't really know another way to do it.

Thanks for reading and thanks to the jam organizers!
