Yes, yes, yes.. fair point! Our idea was stuck on the difficulty of the main shooting mechanic, so we have designed levels more "puzzly" to be more harmonic with the difficulty of the mechanic; In simple terms.. we wanted a challenging arcade game that should have given a sense of urgency in finding a way out of the blocks pattern.
But yes, absolutely, if we let the player enjoy the mechanics (maybe simplified with faster shooting speed) with more freedom of movement, more enemies, larger areas with spawn points, etc.. probably the game could have been more fun.
