Damn, games like this remind me that I’m absolute trash at pure platformers. Seeing others say “difficulty was perfect!” or seeing stuff like 17 deaths is crazy lmao, this game kicked my butt.

Nice work with this. It felt like a good execution of a tried-and-true formula. The level of polish is super impressive and everything looks really great. My only real frustrations came from my own skill issues. Something about spikes on the ground at the same level as the player breaks my brain. Also sometimes it felt like I’d move to a new screen and immediately die to a hazard, but that feels intentional, like just making sure the player always takes their time when they enter a new screen.

Anyway, great job. Loved the music too!

That's absolutely fine! Not many people are that good with platformers, and I tried making it easier for everyone even by tweaking the hitboxes and all. The main problem is that I am too good at playing platformer games, thus, I fail to see that certain aspects requires way certain levels of skill. As for unintentionally dying when changing the screen, I tried my best to avoid that issue by, 1) making it change the screen earlier not when being exactly in the middle of the adjacent screens, 2) placing obstacles not less than 2 blocks or 16 pixels aways from the edges (most of the time unless the two screens are somewhat related), and 3) tweaking the speed of the character, but I also wanted to make it feel responsive and not too slow in case someone is speedrunning it. Your time is really nice though. I'm glad you liked it!
