this is from Wikipedia: The genre has many style elements in common with shōjo manga and josei manga,<a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otome_game#cite_note-Kim-1" ]<1]<="" a=""></a><a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otome_game#cite_note-Kim-1" ]<1]<="" a=""> and plotwise they are often similar to </a>harem manga. There are also games targeted towards women that are focused on romance between men, called boys' love games (ボーイズラブゲーム, bōizu rabu gēmu), and sometimes there are yaoi(boys' love) elements in otome games, but the two genres are usually kept separate.

YES it usually Kept separate but it can be Elements in Otome Games :) because I Played some yaoi otome Games aswell

this is untrue.

'yaoi otomes' do not exist. There can be games with elements of BOTH yaoi and otome (example- Our Life, a game where you can play as male or female) but unless you intend to add an option to play as a female character, which is the core of the otome genre, you cannot describe your game as an otome. it is a BL game, a yaoi game, or a romance visual novel. please stop redefining the term otome, there is no shame in calling your game a yaoi game, as that is what it is- please remove the otome tag.

PS: very top of the wikipedia article of otomes: An otome game (Japanese: 乙女ゲーム, Hepburnotome gēmulit. "maiden game"), is a story-based video game that is targeted towards women. Generally one of the goals, besides the main idea/goal, is to develop a romantic relationship between the female main player character and one of the usually male, secondary lead characters.

(please note the phrase 'female main player character.')
