The sound effects from the villagers were hilarious, definitely added a lot of character to the game. It still feels a little quiet in between the action, ambient sounds and monster sounds would go a long way in filling up the rest of audio. The art style was pretty cute and endearing, gave the game a not so scary vibe despite it being about monsters pouncing on villagers. Better audiovisual cues could help, I didn't realize that I could attack the villagers by walking into them, I was relying on the dash attack entirely at first. The flashing villager was an indication of damage to them but at first I just thought they were alerted of my presence and just avoided getting near them again. Something like an attack sound would give me an additional cue in the absence of animation. Overall it was a simple but effective interpretation of the theme.
