The wall speeds up rapidly the lower you go, so you would definitely end up failing sooner or later. Maybe you are just really good, but personally every time I play the wall is chasing me all the time even after 3 shops in (The most optimal strategy is to stay next to the wall and mine out as many resources as possible)
