This is a great base but has some issues. As a massive platforming games fan I have a few tips. The game could use some coyote time especially because it is first-person view and we cannot see our feet. Being able to sprint mid-air felt weird but I got used to it after some time, A bigger problem caused me smaller platforms required to get to some of the dopamine spots. Also, I am not sure if you have any checkpoints in the game, but if you do I haven't found them, so restarting from the start of the level felt sometimes devastating, especially after getting to some further away dopamine spots and falling down on the last jump. Being able to regulate the height of your jump would be nice as well since you don't need max height for most of the jumps in the game.

Now movement other than lack of coyote time feels good and responsive, graphics have this nice retro vibe, and the art style with floating brain reminds me  Psychonauts game.  Voice acting was really good for a jam game! Overall I enjoyed my time a lot and would love to see you work on it some more and polish some of the stuff I mentioned above.

Also thank you for playing and scoring our game o/

hey Shogun thank you for leaving such an in depth response. This character controller was made completely from scratch so I'm glad to hear that the coyote time was the biggest thing you didnt like. The sprinting mid air was done on purpose to give a more responsive (albeit les realistic haha) feel to the jumps to give the player maximum control over their movement.

Also i did not have time to implement checkpoints or jump height regulation although i do understand your frustration as i also got frustrated play testing it haha

Anyways thank you again for playing, rating, and critiquing!!
