Hearing this one I think of something I've been told alot about my music and I am trying to improve for ever now:
I think the beat and music have a place to evolve in the composition, but it stays in the same place
I think a good challange I tried taking on myself and you could use in the future would be to try and think of an interesting way to develop your compositions from their static state once you reach it's peak:
it could be a change in meter, scale (modulation), instrumentation, automation and so much more!
It can be very hard though, I can tell yuo I believe I haven't figured this out as well,
but each time I get a similar constructive criticism I appreciate it for people trying to help me improve :)
