Ah I think I posted something misleading. I mean I took elements from the arcade game Nemesis for the game's powerup design. Progressively better powerups as you collect tokens.. you can choose which one to use at any time. I think in the end it was too complex though, actually.
Ah, now I see how you implemented the powerups. I found it to be a fun system for the Knockabout mode. Thanks for clarifying. I follow the Genesis/MD developer "Nemesis" here on itch, so I thought it made sense if the two of you had collaborated.
