I guess it’s not entirely clear you need to hold an arrow key as you’re rolling for it to work.
I’ll report the input issue on the Pyxel engine GitHub page, thanks for letting me know.

Ah, I'll give the controls another try later tonight after work. I knew about doing that for moving but wasn't quite getting it while hooked. Likely why I couldn't get past that section that mentioned it. LOL
And I'm guessing the input issues I hit were just the html implementation, not sure or could just be something about me or my setup.
