As long as all other requirements are checked, this should lead to the next growth event. But there is a rare bug, only reported by 2 players so far, which I haven't been able to recreate and pin-point yet.
I hope this is fixed in the next update, since parts of the code regarding growth are rewritten, but if not, then I would maybe need a save-file of the faulty state to recreate the error.
