Congrats on your submission! I beat the first level with 400 points. I also felt that it didn't quite feel GameBoy, but I'm not sure what did it. I don't know if you are aware, but the music/art/programming were all supposed to be created during the jam. You appear to be using music and sounds that were created outside of the jam.
