it really isn't necessary for a horror game to scare the player i mean how many times has dark souls or elden ring scare players with their bosses and yet they are not horror games and how many times horror games like resident evil,obscure and splatterhouse feature horror elements like creepy atmospheres or twisted  monster design and those types usually do not scare the players and yet those are horror games at the very least horror themed games. and your game seem to have a psychological surreal atmosphere and bizarre creepy monsters and the  isolation of the area just you and the red creatures with the eerie silence filling the player with dread and sometimes being filled with dread is a lot more impactful than just simply being scared you get jumpscared and you easily get used to it losing its scare factor but with the built up of pure dread and paranoia that keeps the players on their toes that feeling last forever.
