Notes taken while playing:
- like the multiple languages
- main screen music is fire, reminds me of Balinese dancing
- cute animation for main menu
- Music on start of game is engaging and boppy, quite like
- this art is fun and unique. Clearly conveys a style and sets a scene, love it!
- text speed setting doesn't seem to adjust text speed
- story intro doesn't really give much story. Great explanation of mechanics, however! Love the touch of humor!
- English localization does need work, but it's clear enough to convey what you're saying! I think "you" instead of "me/I" would make things more clear for the player. I wish I spoke Indonesian because I think this game is probably way more immersive in the original language - massive props to you for doing a two language game!!!
- Love that this is mobile friendly!
- not quite clear what the speech bubble icon displays. Can't find the grimoire
- lol @ 4th wall breaking with the comment about character design, this is a fun and clever way to deal with limited art!
- Popup boxes are showing outlines and images are filling in about 1s later
- Lol is the hoe word choice intentional? Because in English, it has....connotations....
- This font is fun and pretty
- Good use of noises for auditory cues, such as the "attention" noise with the tooth
- Love the creepy weird backstory stuff about shamans
- I want to have more interactive things to do. Lots of narrative without anything for me to do.
- backgrounds recorded in a real cemetary? Whoa this just got quite interesting!
- Cemetary choice feels confusing and disappointing. Need to feel like I'm influencing stuff.
- Love the other realms being pulled into this game!
- Really love the use of things like demons/angels/genies, very creepy and intriguing in a way I've not seen before!
- The text content is really interesting - I think the localization is not great, but I wish I could read indonesian to see it as intended! I'm hooked!
- the sketchy concept art works great with the b&w, it's impactful
- need more ways to feel invested in the game, eg branching story choices
- story choice results for exploring graveyard seem broken - I picked Anton but got Chief in text
- Music play is inconsistent. When it plays, I like it - it's liminal and creepy. Also like the background noise like crickets.
- Nice creepy ending!
Overall, I really enjoyed this game! I think the localization meant the story impact was lessened for my playing in English. I would have liked more interactive choices. I think the overall experience was nicely creepy and fulfilled the jam's brief really well! Great work!
