I agree with DarkBloodbane, I don't like all the red.

I understand you want a red world, blue world etc. but having a scene that strongly one colour,  might put people off (it hurts my eyes just looking at the screenshot, but I'm probably not you target market).

The character's clothes could be red, instead of its face and hands.

The edging you have on your platforms look nice. That should be enough red to convey the idea that it's a red world.

Alternatively, blend in lighter shades of red to tone down the strong red look. Like making the character's skin a pastel red instead of a strong red.

Alright, I see what you’re saying.

I don’t really wanna change the skin tone of the character as I personally find the red skin to work well with the rest of the character, but I can add some more details to him like maybe a scarf of a different color/shade or something

In regards to it being “too red”, I can see where you’re coming from, yeah.

I could alleviate this by making the background more orange-y, adding some extra dark red structures in the background like the one in the photo/more BG elements, having some ground tiles be different types of red (like as you said, I can use pastel red, and maybe that’d be used for a dirt tile), etc

I’ll play around with the art to see if I can make this less of an issue.

Also, I think your the only one who says their eyes hurt looking at the image, other people i’ve asked said that the shades of red look nice, so that’s strange lol, It could be a brightness issue, where your screen is able to go brighter then mine, so I could probably fix that if it is the case

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
