Great visual art, and, while I have seen this sort of idea before, it never really gets old – because it’s playing with the idea of what a digital experience can be. The players’ thoughts become part of the game because of the context it comes inextricably bundled with.

[ edit, 11 Nov 2023: On further thought, I think the below paragraph was way too harsh, at best; after all, a game like this is also what the player brings to it, so maybe it was me that was lacking. ]

Though, it didn’t grab me in quite the same way as other similar experiences did, and it took me quite a while to put a finger on the ‘why’ of it. I played on the actual hardware, and I think the screen might just be too small to give such a meaningful experience (to me) in such a (ha) short time. (That last part is important – I absolutely think that, given more time, games on the Playdate should be able to ‘suck you in’.)
