Nevermind, looks like 120 mood is required to get hired.I'd say that's pretty late into the game, but I'm also not really smart.
It shouldn't be that late though. I think you start at 100 affection so you'd just need 20 points. 1 point per day at first so 20 days without any help. Gift using pocket money and spells speeding up affection gain would speed up the process.
