I've recently made it to  Act III, and now I wonder should I park on my save & wait for the dungeon content in a future build, or is the recruit system a permanent replacement to whatever had been planned for dungeon?

Also, if someone's a really serious Q&A mood :) Is there a substantial variation in  Act III based on the player's Act II choices? The "I am what you made me" scene at the end of Act II sort of implies there is indeed a difference, but maybe not a "start over if you don't like what happens" level of difference?

The dungeon got put back in the shelf. It’s just been hard to justify its existence in the game.

And the new recruiting system is almost certainly permanent. Doubt Arc’ll remake things again.

Most choices don’t have that big of an effect… If they have any…

That dialogue is the same regardless. But for a reason you might not be considering, probably because we don’t have enough information yet.

There will be different endings, but Arc has always said something along the lines of “You’ll get the ending you’re aiming for”.

So don’t sweat it, play how you want to play.
