After downloading I the 'Fighting for Love 1.0-pc' version on Windows 11, Windows tells me "The computer is protected by Windows. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented the launch of an unknown app.  Running this app may pose a risk to your PC."

@Serpentbreath3D

Weird, I've had that happen to me with one or two Ren'Py games in the past as well, but haven't heard of that happening to anyone with my game yet. Not sure what's causing it, but if there is any way to do so, feel free to proceed; there's no malware so long as you use the link provided on this page.

In the meantime, I'll try to figure out what's going on and see if there's anything I can do to find a solution.

Preventing the launch of unknown apps is exactly what SmartScreen does. It's not actually a virus scan. It's just saying Microsoft doesn't know what it is. Microsoft Defender *does* have virus scan capability, but that's not what SmartScreen is. Honestly, I'd say you should just turn off SmartScreen, because all it will do is prevent you from opening apps *even if* they've already been virus scanned and are clean.
