I'm definitely refering to this game as 'Slay the tarnation' hahaha ๐
I found your project to be quite interesting and unique compared to the rest of this jam, congratulations! ๐
The designs of the characters are really cool, and them saying random phrases while playing makes them have more charisma. I would have added a few more phrases, but it's a nice detail that other developers wouldn't take into account! ๐
Now into the things that I'd polish:
- I missed more visual clues to know what was going on. Things like which enemies are being taunted or who's attacking and receiving damage can easily be missed as there's a lot going on with no clear indicator.
- Following the previous point, the characters often overlap each other while in combat, so most of the times I was just hoping that they were doing their job effectively.
- I'd add a way to recognize each character. Maybe something like a white outline while hovering on their name.
- The sprites feel blurry. I don't know if it was an artistic choice, but you can change this in Project Settings > Textures > Default Texture Filter > Nearest.
Other than that, very interesting project, keep up the good work! ๐
