I can't make this work even following the walkthrough. That 5th connection (the long one) never works. Stuck here.

Well, after trying every possible combo I could think of I checked the walkthrough and I can't get past this

So if the rows are A - D and the columns are 1-7 I want to try and light C1, right? But when I click C1 the spark goes to D4.

I've clicked all over and I can't make it make that pattern in the walkthrough.

So I've gone back to periodically clicking randomly hoping I stumble on the solution but no luck so far.

What am I doing wrong?

Never mind. I got it. You have to click the little pipes next to the servers. too.
