I really like the art style ! I think I would have prefered if the pacing was faster and I didn't really get the point of the mining mechanic  but the game is very polished for a jam project, very nice work !

The mining part does feel sort of pointless. I was hoping to add a "tower upgrade ritual" using the crystal resource, which you would be more difficult to find. But I was really far behind and never even got to try it out.

Maybe as a bandaid I could limit the number of tiles you can designate for mining, which would force you to split your attention more between mining and building. I also had in my notes: "Add random un-mine-able blocks that are revealed."

As it stands, you can pretty much just designate a huge block and then chill and build, which isn't really what I intended.
