I'm surprised when I boot the game and there's actually a narrative!
I like the idea of the game direction, really feels like an actual game boy game mechanic wise. Mainly on the simple part.
The downside I met is probably the tedious forced repetitiveness without much change in pace outside the story. (might have been good to allow player to roam around a bit more than the limited in between cutscenes we got and decide when they can start their ice cream serving than automatically starting it)
And the fact there's no minimum quota needed or/fail consequences other than a screen that show "you failed" but then the story continue as if nothing bad happened, not even having to redo the day before (even though every day it saves). There was no reason for me to not just idle during the entire ice cream scooping and proceed with the story. The story has no differentiation and even I got praised for doing great through idling a few days straight.
Love the portraits by the way, did a really good job there with costumes and expressions too! The story is simple but it sure does have its charm and the dialog is pretty well-written
