The time you spent on the art and animation is well worth it! Two thoughts:

  • I had a hard time choosing between my options, not because I was weighing the decision but because I don't know what "2 attack speed" or "23 damage" mean compared to my regular stats. I picked a speed card that said something like "2 speed" because I thought I would be going twice as fast, but instead I was so slow I had to restart. So showing the player what their baseline stats are would help them choose.
  • I think it would be cool if the first selection was always between two good things and the second selection was always between two bad things. That way, a player always has an advantage and a disadvantage of some kind, which should make each playthrough more interesting.

Sadly I had very little time to implement the random stat feature, and after I submitted I found some bugs with the card system. I was hoping to focus on the actual card system more, but I got too carried away with the art.
