I can recommend checking medibang/firealpaca/krita for free art programs if your team don't have access to better art programs like photoshop/clip studio paint. Not sure for decent pixel art free alt so far but I think there's a lot out there. I can recommend GIMP as well for editing stuffs, their selection is actually quite clean.
