Everything works fine with wineskin winery

same here, it hangs for a moment on every sound effect. i understand you're probably not too concerned about the game running in wine, but an option to disable sound might make us happy! very excited about the game as an idea!

so I used VMware Fusion and a windows 11 install - works really well that way.  They’ve made that installation way easier and it’s free.

In Whisky I ran the sound=disabled winetricks command. That cleared up the problem of slow and stuttery text and made the game playable. Not sure if any of the other sound= winetricks would enable sound without glitches.
