Space

Now, asshole, look up how "space" translates.

Really?

Really. Here's an article for you, see the word "пространвство" in here?

Three-dimensional space, geometry paper. What were you telling me?

spatial (пространственный)

I can't even find an example with the word "spatial" in it. Except "пространственный тоннель." And that translates to "space tunnel."

"Пространственные измерения: классические физические теории описывают трёхмерные физические измерения."

I disagree.

I don't care if you disagree. When the character on the screen is spritely, it's noticeable. When it's three dimensional, it's just as noticeable. You can tell the difference between a sprite character and a drawn character. And not just in games. In animation there are moments of mixing drawn characters and modeled on the computer in 3d. You can see the difference especially in movement. Even in manga you can see the difference between a drawn character and a modeled one.

Here are some examples of modeled manga

And these are examples of drawn manga

Is there a difference?

Oh, and it even is a suggested tag (without description no less) https://itch.io/games/tag-3d-platformer

And moreover, a game with the tags "3d" and "platformer" is not the same as a game with one tag "3d platformer". Platformer means that the game is in the platformer genre. 3d means that the game is three dimensional. And 3d platformer means it's a 3D platformer. There's a big difference. Take Mario, for example. Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platformer with a third-person view. It can be tagged with the single tag "3d platformer". At the same time, in one of the parts of Mario (I don't remember exactly which one) there were elements on the level in which the game became two-dimensional, that is, the graphics as before was three-dimensional, but Mario could only move left and right, as in classic games on 8-bit console. But that was a separate element on the level, in general, the whole game is three-dimensional. But if there was a game with three-dimensional graphics but two-dimensional gameplay, it could be labeled with two tags "3d" and "platformer", but the tag "3d platformer" here is no longer suitable.

Another example is the game Nier Automata. It's three-dimensional. But in some cases the camera is placed on top or on the side of the character, turning the gameplay into 2D. But the game is still three-dimensional.

Another example. Crash Bandicoot. Is it a platformer, with three dimensions? Or a 3D platformer?

And for digital things you do can put them into both boxes at once.

Then it would no longer be called a category. It's something else.

or you can have a fight with your friend what label to put on which box

That's true. But the difference is that in this example, there are no established rules about what labels to put on a box of dishes when moving to a new apartment. There's no such thing. Large moving companies may have their own rules about how boxes should be labeled, and they follow them. But me and my friend don't have any rules yet.

And in the case of games, there are already rules that are followed on some sites. And even a person who is not familiar with these rules can easily guess what it is about by looking at the name of the label or its description. That's how people learn new words. From the pronunciation (spelling) and the context in which they see the word for the first time.

3d without context means three dimensions. 3d manga and 3d video means style. The style of "drawing" even though it's not actually drawn. A 3d game originally appeared specifically as a three dimensional game. Because before this term games were two-dimensional or textual (without graphics). And here relatively recently began to appear 3DCG games and people are confused. They are already used to calling such pictures 3d. But the game is two-dimensional with 3D pictures. So the game is 3d? But there are two dimensions?

Confusion. We should call this kind of game 3DCG.

And what once was 3d is now split into third-person, first-person, walking-simulator and the old word 3d is more and more used by things that only feature stuff that is 3d.

Who decided that? YOU? You personally decided that word is no longer in use? Who are you to personally decide that? I use this word, my environment, my acquaintances use this word and on the Internet it is actively used on the sites I use. What makes you think it's not used anymore? On the contrary, what you wrote, first person, third person and even more so walking simulator. I very rarely encounter such definitions. I never say in a conversation with a friend, "I bought a cool first person shooter yesterday and played it all night". It doesn't happen. I either just say "shooter" or the name of the game. A shooter already implies that it's first-person. Otherwise I specify whether it's a shoulder view shooter or an overhead view shooter. And this is the first time I've heard of walking simulators. I don't know what that is. There are games where it's not really important to specify whether there is 3d or not. If it's a strategy game, I don't care if it's sprite graphics or three-dimensional. As long as it is good. In platformers or metroid games it doesn't really matter if it's three dimensional or two. In souls games it doesn't matter, in horror games it doesn't matter, in roguelikes it doesn't matter either. In quests it doesn't matter all the more. In general in AAA games it doesn't matter, as a rule they are all three dimensional. But in some indie games it is very important to have three-dimensional graphics.

So go to Steam and look up the tags. You will see the vote of the users, what are the most important tags for the game. If it is on Steam.

You're a total asshole. I've told you more than once. Don't use stim as an example. It's for big games. Not for indies. 3DCG games are unpopular there. Are you so dumb you can't understand a word? I've told you more than once to stop writing about Steam!

And you can shove the developers' opinions up your ass. They can add the tag 3d to their games where there is no three-dimensionality to attract attention. Why? Because the tag is popular and in demand. It's a stone in your favor that no one uses the tag. On paid sites like Nutaku games are paid, and the site itself is important to sell as many games as possible, so you can lie about the three-dimensionality of the game.

Change it yourself. I am serious.

I did it a long time ago. On the first day of our dialog, I offered my description of the 3DCG, 3D game, and 3D tags. I did that a long time ago. And where is the result? There is no result. Apparently game developers don't want to change anything. They are responsible for the tags, not the site administration.

Not since every smartphone can compute 3d.

Why did you write that? What's the point? If every smartphone can handle 3d, then the tag is unnecessary? I don't understand you.

Look at the visual novel plus 3d combination on Steam.

Here we go again. Fuck you and your stim. I don't need no fucking steam. We're not talking about steam right now. Why the fuck do you keep referring to steaming?

https://itch.io/games/genre-visual-novel/tag-3d

I guess I was right, you are dumb.

Did you look at the search results on that link yourself? 90% of the games there are 3DCG. And I don't need that! I only want 3D games. I've been talking to you for a week and you still don't get it?

Why is there no description for the 3d platformer tag?

You're really really dumb. I don't care about that tag. Are you capable of answering my question or not? You asshole!
