Really wondering about the themes in the game, it seems to have sort of an existential bent that pokes fun at the need for stimulation we get from video games. Having us pop cones for no reason, riding TVs into a dark hole where you pop another cone for no reason, hopping to the end of some impossible task for no reason, and then going back into the cycle of work, eat, sleep, fun. While surrounded by pretty but meaningless colors.
I can't comment for sure on what the developer intentions are behind this one, especially since I don't speak the language that the songs were sung in, but I feel like this is sort of an anti-game that is meant to make you question why you challenge yourself or seek stimulation in fictional worlds at all. I can't say I agree with the thesis if that's the case, but I nonetheless appreciate it when someone makes art in interactive media that tries to say something unique. I just wish it controlled and performed better lmao.
