the shop could also maybe have a spot to upgrade your weapon parts, it would be really cool if you could level up individual pieces

Yep!I would definitely like to add this! Currently, I'm working on game balance, new enemies, and new perks, but then, I think I'll start working on upgrading weapon parts :)
