Checked only because of the name. Have a question about screenshot 945 * 244, really? You arejoking?

(1 edit)

I put in the tutorial how to solve these questions easily, you only need to know up to your 9 times tables to work this question out. But to save you the hassle I'll put it here (feel free to try out your own 3 digit equation to test it out, below the method is an example).

The multiplication of Hundreds:

Step 1: Multiply the top ‘Ones’ column with the bottom ‘Ones’ column and add it to the Answers ‘Ones’ area (if your answer has two digits, Write the ‘Tens’ value on another sheet of paper).

Step 2: Multiply the top ‘Tens’ column with the bottom ‘Ones’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then multiply the top ‘Ones’ column with the bottom ‘Tens’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then you want to add (+) both answers on from ‘Step 2’ together as well as the ‘Tens’ value that you wrote on the page before (if you did).

Now add the answer to the ‘Tens’ area (if your answer has two digits, Write the ‘Tens’ value on the same sheet of paper from before)

Step 3: Multiply the top ‘Hundreds’ column with the bottom ‘Ones’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then multiply the top ‘Tens’ column with the bottom ‘Tens’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then multiply the top ‘Ones’ column with the bottom ‘Hundreds’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then you want to add (+) all three of the answers on from ‘Step 2’ together as well as the ‘Tens’ value that you wrote on the page before (if you did).

Now add the answer to the ‘Hundreds’ area (if your answer has two digits, Write the ‘Tens’ value on the same sheet of paper from before).

Step 4: Multiply the top ‘Tens’ column with the bottom ‘Hundreds’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then multiply the top ‘Hundreds’ column with the bottom ‘Tens’ column. Write the answer on the same sheet of paper from before.
Then you want to add (+) both answers on from ‘Step 4’ together as well as the ‘Tens’ value that you wrote on the page before (if you did).

Now add the answer to the ‘Thousands’ area (if your answer has two digits, Write the ‘Tens’ value on the same sheet of paper from before).

Step 5: Multiply the top ‘Hundreds’ column with the bottom ‘Hundreds’ column and then add the ‘Tens’ value that you wrote on the page before (if you did) to the answer and if the number is two digits, write both down in the answer.

So lets do 234x553 as an example.

4x3 = 12 (2)

3x3 = 9

4x5 = 20

9 + 20 + 1 = 30 (02)

2x3 = 6

3x5 = 15

4x5 = 20

6 + 15 + 20 + 3 = 44 (402)

3x5 = 15

2x5 = 10

15 + 10 + 4 = 29  (9,402)

2x5 = 10

10 + 2 = 12 (129,402)

So the answer for 234x553 = 129,402
