Hey there! I totally get it, sometimes paring down descriptions and information can make things more difficult. Apologies!

You’re spot on with diminished and enhanced attacks. If an attack is diminished, no matter the weapon or attacker, the damage is reduced to d4. Likewise, if an attack is enhanced, the damage is increased to d12.

For damage advantage, you roll the damage die twice and take the higher result. So, if you rolled a d6 twice and get 3 and 6, you’d take the 6 for damage.

I hope this helps clear things up. Thanks and all the best!

I have another question. With a Bestial, on the bite it says (STR save vs deprivation). Why does it say "vs" ? Are you saying to make a STR save and if you fail you have deprivation? VS is confusing because that usually mean an opposed roll (from what I have seen elsewhere).

That’s correct, it’s a shorthand to say “if you fail this roll you’ll be deprived.”

We played WDiL this Friday and everyone had a great time!  Everything went pretty smoothly, but there was only one thing that was confusing. On Fan the Hammer, it says "blast damage against up to 6 targets".    I have some questions about this ability:

  1. Can a PC pump all six shots into one target?
  2. Do the targets have to be standing next to each other? What if two target were on each side of a member of my order? Could I shoot them without hitting my order member? What is the area of affect since it is listed as "blast damage"?
  3. I assumed I had to roll on the shoot table for each shot and then roll damage for each shot. Was this correct?
  4. Should we use the damage die for my type of gun or do I have to use a "blast damage" damage die?

Awesome, great to hear you enjoyed it!

  1. You can fire all six shots into one target; I’d make a call that it would deal max damage (8 on a d8).
  2. Gunslingers are skilled enough to be able to pick and choose targets, even when using Fan the Hammer. Blast effects targets in short range (ie. in the same room or across the road).
  3. You only need to roll on the Shoot table once when using a special ability (like Fan the Hammer) but you’ll roll damage for each shot.
  4. You roll the standard damage die for the gun (ie. d8 for six shooter).

Thanks for the response! We are looking  forward to playing again.

I guess I still done understand by fan the hammer is "blast damage" if you can be so precise with what you shoot.  Blast damage to me sound like  it would have an area affect that is less controllable.
