I do agree that the NSFW scenes appear really basic right now (and they do pander towards more submissive players), but I wanna quickly clarify that these scenes were a last-minute thing, and they originally weren't going to be in the demo in the first place. It's why I'm not advertising 14DWY as a porn/kink game (because inherently, it's not), why I haven't added much dom/sub variety in general, and why I'm not prioritising it over the main storyline.
The demo is intended to be played without the NSFW content; seeing as it has no real impact on the overall storyline (sleeping with Ren won't offer the player any additional relationship points or hidden lore). Also... Ren's real self ("[REDACTED]") is inherently a service top/pleasure dom at his core, so making him submissive right off the bat would feel a bit OOC to me ^^; From a writer's standpoint, it'd make more sense to ease him into this role as more Days come out (much like how he's easing into his "Haruko" persona).
Also!! From a developer's perspective, there are a lot of variables I'd need to keep track of ^^; On top of writing variations for dom/sub scenes, I'm already writing dialogue variations for each separate genitalia option, keeping track of pronoun usage, and very recently; I've added the option to choose your top genitalia, your body type (masculine, feminine, unspecified), and how others perceive you to the "Discord Server Booster" version of the demo. There's already a lot going on behind the NSFW scenes, and I wouldn't wanna stress myself out by adding more workload onto something that I've put on the backburner /pos /nm
But I truly appreciate your suggestions and feedback! ♡ I'll be sure to keep it in mind once I finish with the main demo and start to develop the NSFW scenes more. And thanks again for the kind words and support! ;w;
