My favorite one is the one where you died in the dungeon. Though the purgatory is the one that makes the most sense, as the game could be played forever: With your progress seemingly have amounted to nothing as when you reenter rooms later on the enemies return. Like Sisyphus from Greek myth.

I think we managed to fit both into the story, for example: he died in the dungeon and now he relives the moment several times in different ways

I like that a lot. But how do we explain it to the player?

Edit: maybe we could have his dead body or something and then some text will explain what happen from the characters point of view like waking up from amnesia or something.

How much time do we have? maybe i could do some cutscene or something

It ends on Sunday. So the rest of today and tomorrow.

So after you defeat the boss you find your dead body, or soul (like you play as the body trying to find it's soul). That's what I'm thinking. What do you think

Hmmm, idea:

In the beggining of the game just show an text box saying something like "take what is yours" and then we can do the plot of the character taking part of their soul that are with the bosses

Maybe you could trace over the player sprite and make it look like the main character when he was alive. I could recolor it as blue on my end and increase the opacity, and boom, a ghost/spirit!

Yes! i like it, i will do it soon!!

Gotcha.

Done! all in 1.5, look if its looking cool
