Happy New Year to you too Kuro. The change of engine seems to work out well for you. Though I gotta admit, that I have mixed feelings about the new character model. They were already some of the best anime-style models I have ever seen, and the image of your character has already been imprinted deep in me. The new model makes me feel like "...Huh ?"  Like, it is not bad, it is beautiful even. But the heavily anime-style model goes too well with the game and the character's images after 6 chapters make a part of mine make part of me instinctively reject it. (Not a complaint, just wanna express how good your old model was, and I fully trust that their creator will make something even better now that he has more freedom in making them. Just that I and maybe some will take a while to get used to it :p).

I have a question, how will the engine change will affect the development time? You have to do all the models again right? will it take a lot of time? And what do you mean about the"remove those Mirai renders" part?

I'm glad you have some time to take a break and relax and enjoy your hobby, it is always good for creativity. Persona 3 Reload is F***ing masterpiece, going up the Tartarus has never felt better, especially without the dumb-ass AI controlling your team. Again, Happy Lunar New Year. I Hope 2024 will be a great year for you

                                                                                               Litvenko.

PS: I don't care about the rest of them. If you redo Mirai, you either redo her right or start moving into some f**king nuke vault because I will hunt you down to the end of the world.

I understand that there is always an attachment factor, which isn't necessarily a bad thing; it just shows how much people like those characters.

The old models looked good from certain angles, but they had many serious problems that I had to conceal in various ways because they were impossible to fix in HS2. For example, there's a reason why none of the female characters have their eye-to-ear area uncovered by hair, and the side view shots of their faces is almost non-existent. And it's a scarry reason.

I just hope that you and others will eventually accept the new models when they're fully completed.

As for development time, I'm not creating every model from scratch; I create a base high resolution model and a low resolution model that can be easily edited. Alongside good UV mapping (which allocates texture space for each part of the character), I can create different models with only minor adjustments to the high resolution model. I transfer details to the low resolution model and use a Substance Painter preset I created for the textures to make visual changes. It's a relatively easy process.

The thing about Mirai renders were meant as a joke to imply that her new model looks better, but it seems the joke is not that good if I need to explain it.

Persona 3 Reload is an amazing remake!

It's nice to have some good games once in a while, and since these two months will be full of them, I need to manage my time more carefully.

P.S.: I never imagined Mirai would become so popular... what a monster I have created!
