Thanks for the feedback! I got busy with life and forgot that I even uploaded the game hehe. The delay in jumping was my janky solution for double jumping. I was having a hard time figuring out how to prevent double jumping or air jumping in the game with the physics. So I set a delay for jumping and left it at that. I agree that fixing this issue would make the gameplay better! The floatness could be fixed easily by adjusting the gravity scale, that needs to be balanced as well. 

I'm not sure about the momentum part, the premise is that the further away the mouse is from the apple the harder the jump force is. I limited it to some degree, but I could make it a stronger force as well. I had it limited to make each jump feel like a risk until you get the hang of the controls. If you were playing the browser version, which I assume you were. That was not very tested, and didn't work quite right. The downloaded version should have better controls overall.
