This was very well done all around. A fun and unique twist on chess. Actually a few simple twists that come together to make this interesting. The graphics/art style is quite nice and fitting. The gameplay is satisfying and controls are intuitive. The sound effects are well done and the voices are fun. I have only one minor suggestion which would be to make it more obvious how many steps the king & queen have to take along the path to make it to safety, perhaps showing squares along the path in some way. Excellent work!
