This seems to be a bug specifically on Renpy itself. I tried looking into similar cases with this but I wasn't able to find anything. Notifications should not be able to intervene with the game audio. I am sorry that I might not be able to solve this quickly but I will keep my eye open to see if this can be resolved from my end.
