Taking part in the development of "Fish & Chip" has been an incredibly enriching and joyful journey for me. As a developer, music artist, and animation artist on the team, I had the opportunity to wear multiple hats, each presenting its unique set of challenges and learning opportunities.
Diving into the development aspect, using Phaser.js allowed me to push my technical skills to new heights. It was thrilling to blend typing game elements with fishing mechanics in a desert setting, a concept that I believe brings a fresh twist to the indie game scene. This part of the process not only sharpened my coding skills but also deepened my understanding of game design and player engagement.
On the musical front, composing the soundtrack was a venture into combining traditional desert melodies with a whimsical undertone, aiming to capture the mystical essence of our game.
