meh, you might make more profit with the option of r-18 content to begin with. but good to know ahead of time.

I agree. There is a huge market for BL and female player r18 games that is and has been severely neglected for too long imo. As a result pretty much anything that hits all/most of those categories at once is going to sell. The majority currently available are geared towards hetero males.

Also, whenever I see a dev dangling a carrot of content people actually want in return for  more funding it gives me a bad taste in my mouth. Especially when nine times out of ten either funding or dev promises never pan out the way either side hoped.

100% agree with you. as soon as I see that, I tend to lose interest in the game from the bad experiences and such in the past.

this one looked promising, but at this point, it is way down on the list of things I am interested in.

Thanks for both your feedbacks, perhaps I'll release a R18 game from the get go in a future project to test that. Personally ,  my past R18 game had a dip compared to my non r18 ones so that's why I didn't want to sell an R18 game from the get go. Now it could be the content/plot  itself lacking , or the timing (in 2020), but that's just why I choose to add it as an add on as for me personally, my non R18 games seem to sell easier due to reaching more people (streamers and those who shy from r18 games).

And I understand the asking for money bit, but I will say that, the 10K profit goal  has always been reached in all my past projects  so it's really just a benchmark of standard in interest and me making sure I have enough money to live for the year.
