We meant to implement checkpoints so you dont restart, but run out of time for the jam.
We are hesitant to changing the game now (is that even allowed?) but planning to update it soon after the jam is complete.
You can't make changes now. That's how the competition works. My suggestion is, make sure if you make another game like this in future, include checkpoints as a high priority item. Full restarts are a serious turnoff for many many users.
