Thank you ^^ As I know sleep paralysis can happen in this state but made it about a state of transitioning from sleep to wakefulness. In this state, people can hallucinate, like it's an extension of their dream. It happens for a short time. In the game, the character is able to move but it's an observer, which can alter reality as it percieve. The first part was supposed to be about REM state and the second part was going to be with a parallax background and we were going to alter the world around us while top-down shooter stuff happening but I had to cut the content due to time constraints :D Btw you can see pupil size changing after you use 'SPACE' attack.
