In short, nothing helped, now I go into the storyline, take the bag and the game crashes with this error.

A quick search mentions that outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause this issue (Search up a guide on how to use DisplayDriverUn-installer) - as well as Antivirus software detecting UE4 as a  virus, so try adding the VotV file in your exclusions. Also, on the off-chance it is - make sure VotV is installed outside of program files.

I don’t have an antivirus, it eats up my system and as a result my computer’s performance decreases. I updated the drivers in February 2024, the system behaves cheerfully, but if I pull the camera or open it and look at what’s inside the bag at the beginning of the game, I immediately get this error.

Sorry for the late reply, but what OS are you using? If you're using Windows 10/11 then you have Windows Defender. If you're on Linux, then VotV has some issues on Linux systems as far as I'm aware. I can't think of anything else besides joining the Discord server - that's one of the best places for troubleshooting.

Sorry for my late answer haha, I use Windows 11, which I reinstalled on March 31, 2024, I turn off Defender because it eats up my system and sometimes there are freezes in games. Briefly speaking. The problem was fixed but no. I still get the same error, I plan to upgrade to a new PC soon, otherwise the laptop from 2011 was very good in its time, just like this time)

p.s:

The problem is not solved

Man I really don't know then. I did find this: "D3D DEVICE HUNG errors mean that your GPU driver has crashed. Sometimes, rarely, it is a genuine driver crash but most of the time it is a result of Windows TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery), which, if the hardware at any time does not respond within the default 2 seconds, Windows will automatically kill and restart the graphics driver."

If it's a laptop from 2011 then I'm leaning towards a hardware/compatibility issue. Possibly RAM if it's not a GPU problem. Sorry a solution couldn't be found : {

It's a pity, but this laptop works very well, all the drivers are updated, sometimes after installing Windows, by the way, this is a problem in the Unreal Engine itself, when I launched games on it, when I went through the first mission it crashed, I checked the errors and they are the same, although this has never happened before :)
