you can fish for a tire or use rubber items (you can tell by the sound they make, like a basketball, or read the item in your inventory if you're unsure), stuff like the coiled black hose with red tape, rubber boots, the weird big black rubber squares like a small floor mat or something... there is enough pieces in the base if you didn't sell all your trash
just toss a bunch of these on your crafting table to refine them
