at one time a mac port would have been somewhat possible but you can thank mr jobs successor for making it entirely incompatible with apple silicon
yeah certainly if you got a intel mac it would probably be fine and in that situation the wine project or steams proton is probably your best choices assuming steam even supports intel mac anymore
Edit: i just did a quick search on the matter you will need a 64bit intel mac 32bit mac is no longer supported by valve and will not run
