for two days you did quite a lot, very nice! not sure if this was what you were going for, but it had that classic rage/troll platformer game with invisible platforms (very much like I Wanna Be the Guy or Cat Mario). the close checkpoints though made it mostly negligible and made for a rather nice trial and error experience. the movement feels pretty nice to run around with, feels responsive and has a nice weight/gravity to it! i would have liked to see where you wanted to go with the combat system though, that sounds exciting! the visuals also are pretty neat too, giving off a nice pixel snes game feel!
again, working this much in that short of time is impressive, i had a lot of fun with it, great work!
